Full paper accepted to UMAP 2019 conference

A full paper entitled Impact of English Reading Comprehension Abilities on Processing Magazine Style Narrative Visualizations and Implications for Personalization was accepted to the 27th ACM Conference on User Modelling, Adaptation and Personalization – UMAP 2019 (24% acceptance rate).

The paper provides insights employing eye tracking analysis, how the level of reading abilities impacts users when they read documents with visualizations. The paper authored by Dereck Toker, Robert Moro, Jakub Simko, Maria Bielikova, and Cristina Conati is a result of cooperation between our research group and the Intelligent User Interfaces group at the University of British Columbia.

The conference will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus, June 9-12, 2019.
